Fairytale AU Meme [Open]

Pick one of my characters and I'll toss a disney/fairytale au scenario at you! I've got some rough descriptions of their roles below. You can start, or you can just give their name in a top-level and I’ll write something up. These can be shippy or not, although given the descriptions I’ll probably tend towards that way unless you tell me you don’t want that

Alec: Damsel in distress, suicidal, who thinks this whole thing is stupid and this story can be ended if anyone at any point just solves the problem of the ‘princess’ for good

Annabel: Necromancer, who tries to find love by bringing hers back from the dead

Dominic: Knight, who’s pretty sure that he’s supposed to slay the ‘dragon’ but might end up falling in love with him/her instead

I-No: The evil witch, finds delight in other people’s suffering

Ivy: The persecuted heroine, who badly wants to believe in love but doesn’t really believe that it can trump the facts of life

Kai: Prince charming, careful and earnest, hugely romantic who thinks that life’s course can be changed by love

Ky: Either the hero, earnest but not very good at people, or the damsel in distress who’s going to apologize for having to be rescued

Rose: Ghost girl, who will accept a coat in exchange for being able to touch and feel for a while

Sol: The dragon, why are you waking him up from his nap just to rescue a princess? He doesn’t have time for this crap.

Valentine: The evil king whose goal in all of this is power and also just seeing the ordinary people scramble

Kai will point at one of them, because he's studied maps of his kingdom, and that farmer is always saying rude things about his daughters one instant and trying to marry one of them off to Kai the next. "Over there."

"Ok." Ryoji will swoop down, landing in a place that hopefully won't crush anything.

Kai's going to slide off of Ryoji's back, and then he'll try to start gathering the squash they seem to have landed near. Although he's pretty sure that this is a thing he can't eat raw...

Ryoji will let him collect whatever, exploring around the little area too. He doesn't usually bother with this part of farms- dragons can eat vegetables but they don't need to.

Once Kai has his arms full he'll return to Ryoji's side and give a little sigh. "Should have brought the pillowcase." He's not entirely sure how he's going to hold onto Ryoji and not drop everything.

"I can try and hold some of them," Ryoji offers, though... he has claws. It might not work as well as they would want.

Maybe he can pierce through some of them with his claws? "Okay," Kai agrees, shifting to let some of them go as he tries to not drop them all. Maybe they'll just need to make a lot of trips.

Ryoji will hold as many as he can, and Kai can still probably hold onto a few while still keeping hold on Ryoji.

Kai cradles them between his body as he presses against Ryoji, holding tight. "Okay, I'm ready."

"Ok!" Ryoji nods as he takes to the air again, going quickly so Kai doesn't have to hold on forever but trying to be extra careful. He doesn't want his friend to fall!

They make it back safely, and by this point Kai is quite hungry. He brushes off an apple and bites into it.

Ryoji will clear a little area for people-food for Kai. He's pretty hungry too. "I have to go out to get food for me, but I'll be back soon, ok?" He doesn't keep dead animals lying around, after all.

"Okay!" Kai is going to eat his food and wait for Ryoji to come back.

When Ryoji does return, it's with a dear. A dead one. Which he will munch on in his corner. This is totally ok right Kai?

No. No it's not okay. Kai feels a little sick to his stomach. "Ah... I'm going to go for a walk." And hope that Ryoji doesn't decide to eat him.

"Ok!" Ryoji does not see the problem with this. He doesn't even think to add a 'be careful' since... no one bothers the dragon on the mountain.

Kai is mostly going to step outside of the cave...and slowly move off to the side and try to not fall off the edge.

There are other caves around that he can duck into, should the trail become too perilous. Just because Ryoji is the biggest thing on the mountain doesn't mean there's nothing or no one else here.

Mostly Kai's just going to spend a while standing out there and staring at the mountains. This is very different from being in the palace. After a while -- when he thinks that Ryoji has to be done eating -- he'll return.

By the time Kai returns, Ryoji is back in bitty dragon form, pouring over his magic books again, but he'll perk up when Kai enters the cave again. "Hello!" he chirps, rustling his wings happily.

Kai doesn't want to look to see if there are deer remains, he doesn't want to look...

"Did you have any plans for the rest of the day?"

It's ok, Ryoji already got rid of those. He's fast.

"Not really," he replies, "I was just looking over my spells again."

[tothealtar]

"Find anything interesting?"

Can Kai help?

[dangerouslyinlove]

"I was looking at the human form thing. I think I can maybe try it!" The spell itself isn't hard, exactly- it just takes a lot of power to maintain.

"Ooh." That is interesting. "Alright. Do you-- are you going to need clothes?" Should he not watch?
