Fairytale AU Meme [Open]

Pick one of my characters and I'll toss a disney/fairytale au scenario at you! I've got some rough descriptions of their roles below. You can start, or you can just give their name in a top-level and I’ll write something up. These can be shippy or not, although given the descriptions I’ll probably tend towards that way unless you tell me you don’t want that

Alec: Damsel in distress, suicidal, who thinks this whole thing is stupid and this story can be ended if anyone at any point just solves the problem of the ‘princess’ for good

Annabel: Necromancer, who tries to find love by bringing hers back from the dead

Dominic: Knight, who’s pretty sure that he’s supposed to slay the ‘dragon’ but might end up falling in love with him/her instead

I-No: The evil witch, finds delight in other people’s suffering

Ivy: The persecuted heroine, who badly wants to believe in love but doesn’t really believe that it can trump the facts of life

Kai: Prince charming, careful and earnest, hugely romantic who thinks that life’s course can be changed by love

Ky: Either the hero, earnest but not very good at people, or the damsel in distress who’s going to apologize for having to be rescued

Rose: Ghost girl, who will accept a coat in exchange for being able to touch and feel for a while

Sol: The dragon, why are you waking him up from his nap just to rescue a princess? He doesn’t have time for this crap.

Valentine: The evil king whose goal in all of this is power and also just seeing the ordinary people scramble

"Oh." Hmph. That just seems silly. "...I don't know where to get clothes, though."

..."Just wrap yourself in a blanket, to start."

"Oh. Ok." Ryoji does at least have those. He'll go into one of the side caves and drag one out... As a tiny dragon, it's rather comical.

But then he'll perch by his book again and recite the spell! Your choice to look away or not, Kai, but in a few moments that tiny dragon will be turning into a boy about Kai's age, with bright blue eyes and slicked back black hair.

Kai's going to glance over once a couple of moments have passed, hoping that Ryoji knows which parts of himself are important to cover.

....Sort of? He's seen humans a lot, at least, so he knows the bottom half is most important to cover so he'll do that. "How do I look?"

That is by far the most important part, at least for guys. Kai lets out a little breath, and then studies him. "You look very human. Great job!"

Ryoji beams at him- that does make him happy. "What do I look like?" He can't really see, after all.

"Like, well. A little like me?" More like Kai than many people do, at least. "You're a bit shorter, though."

[dangerouslyinlove]

Ryoji does indeed have to look up a little bit at Kai, but that's ok. "Really? Huh. I didn't really pick what I looked like... I wonder how it works?"

"I don't know. Maybe it's the image you have in your mind when you transform?" But don't test that right now. "Is it hard to hold?"

Ryoji hums, thinking. "It's... kind of? But this is how it felt when I first started turning little, too. It'll just take practice."

"Did you have control over how small you turned?"

[dangerouslyinlove]

"I've never really tried..." Maybe that's another thing to work on.

[tothealtar]

Isn't it great that Kai is here?

"Hey, can you use magic to transport things?"

[dangerouslyinlove]

"There's a spell for it, yet. Why?"

[tothealtar]

"Like, for food!"

[dangerouslyinlove]

"Oh!" Huh. "Um, I might be able to get something to work. That's one I've never used."

[tothealtar]

"It might be useful, that's all. I don't want you to strain yourself."

[dangerouslyinlove]

"I'll see if I can work it out." It's probably not a difficult spell, but he's not sure if he would be able to transport food straight to them.

[tothealtar]

"Neat!" Kai gives Ryoji a broad smile. "For now, though, we should do something fun!"

Ryoji perks up, smiling. "Ok! Like what?"

[tothealtar]

What can Ryoji do in human form that he can't do the same in dragon. "Let's start with a hug!"

[dangerouslyinlove]

"Ok!" Pause. "...What's a hug?" Teach him how to human, Kai.

[tothealtar]

That's the saddest thing Kai has ever heard. He's going to move over to Ryoji and wrap his arms around him.

Oh! Ryoji will give it a moment before he wraps his arms around Kai in turn, settling there. This is nice. "...I like hugs," he decides, with a smile.
