Fairytale AU Meme [Open]

Pick one of my characters and I'll toss a disney/fairytale au scenario at you! I've got some rough descriptions of their roles below. You can start, or you can just give their name in a top-level and I’ll write something up. These can be shippy or not, although given the descriptions I’ll probably tend towards that way unless you tell me you don’t want that

Alec: Damsel in distress, suicidal, who thinks this whole thing is stupid and this story can be ended if anyone at any point just solves the problem of the ‘princess’ for good

Annabel: Necromancer, who tries to find love by bringing hers back from the dead

Dominic: Knight, who’s pretty sure that he’s supposed to slay the ‘dragon’ but might end up falling in love with him/her instead

I-No: The evil witch, finds delight in other people’s suffering

Ivy: The persecuted heroine, who badly wants to believe in love but doesn’t really believe that it can trump the facts of life

Kai: Prince charming, careful and earnest, hugely romantic who thinks that life’s course can be changed by love

Ky: Either the hero, earnest but not very good at people, or the damsel in distress who’s going to apologize for having to be rescued

Rose: Ghost girl, who will accept a coat in exchange for being able to touch and feel for a while

Sol: The dragon, why are you waking him up from his nap just to rescue a princess? He doesn’t have time for this crap.

Valentine: The evil king whose goal in all of this is power and also just seeing the ordinary people scramble

Oh, good. Ryoji will nuzzle happily again, settling down next to Kai. Friendship is great!

Kai reaches out to pet his face because that's a thing that people can do, right? Maybe?

Oooh. It's not a thing anyone has ever done before but he likes it. He closes his eyes contentedly, an almost purr rumbling in his throat.]

That's encouraging. Kai is just going to keep petting him then.

Good! He likes it, relaxing considerably under his touch.

Eventually Kai will grow tired, and more curl against Ryoji than hug him.

Ryoji's very careful, wrapping his tail around the both of them and making sure he won't hurt Kai at all, curling up around him to keep him warm as he drifts off too.

In the morning there can be more adventure, and the day after, but at some point Kai does remember his duties.

There's a firm set to his chin. "You should take me home."

Oh... That makes Ryoji a little sad. "Are you sure?" He won't keep Kai here, but...

"I mean...maybe you could come with for a while?"

[dangerouslyinlove]

Oh. Oh. The dragon's blue eyes widen. "Would that be ok?"

"Sure!" Kai's face lights up a bit. "You could see my room and things."

[dangerouslyinlove]

Oh that does sound fun! And is likely to go terribly wrong. "Ok. When do you want to go?"

"Mm. Maybe tomorrow morning?" So they can have a good night's sleep first!

"Ok!" Good, that means more time to cuddle.

Though... he may try to slip into his human form again. For practice.

Kai's going to be too nervous and excited to sleep well anyway.

And hey, Ryoji has clothes now! That makes him look awesome as a human.

He does! And he will put those one, even. Though he might wind up trying to cuddle with Kai as a person.

Kai's a little startled when it happens, but after a moment he turns to give Ryoji a reciprocating hug.

Hooray, hugs! Ryoji will settle right where he is for a bit, nuzzling Kai. It's much nicer to cuddle like this, when he can feel how warm Kai is.

Kai's had a long day, so he will actually start to drift off to sleep as they cuddle.

Awww, he looks cute like that. Though... Ryoji sort of realizes he's stuck now. Hopefully he can hold this form for a while.

They'll find out, because Kai is just...not moving or waking up.

...Ryoji might quietly check to make sure he's still alive because sleeping humans look an awful lot like dead humans, but he'll just try to stay where he is for now.

He's definitely still alive. Just the exhaustion from too much adventure has finally caught up with him.

Ok, well, alive is good. Ryoji will just cuddle into him, resting his head on Kai's arm as he continues to cuddle. He won't move until the strain of holding this form becomes too much.
