Fairytale AU Meme [Open]

Pick one of my characters and I'll toss a disney/fairytale au scenario at you! I've got some rough descriptions of their roles below. You can start, or you can just give their name in a top-level and I’ll write something up. These can be shippy or not, although given the descriptions I’ll probably tend towards that way unless you tell me you don’t want that

Alec: Damsel in distress, suicidal, who thinks this whole thing is stupid and this story can be ended if anyone at any point just solves the problem of the ‘princess’ for good

Annabel: Necromancer, who tries to find love by bringing hers back from the dead

Dominic: Knight, who’s pretty sure that he’s supposed to slay the ‘dragon’ but might end up falling in love with him/her instead

I-No: The evil witch, finds delight in other people’s suffering

Ivy: The persecuted heroine, who badly wants to believe in love but doesn’t really believe that it can trump the facts of life

Kai: Prince charming, careful and earnest, hugely romantic who thinks that life’s course can be changed by love

Ky: Either the hero, earnest but not very good at people, or the damsel in distress who’s going to apologize for having to be rescued

Rose: Ghost girl, who will accept a coat in exchange for being able to touch and feel for a while

Sol: The dragon, why are you waking him up from his nap just to rescue a princess? He doesn’t have time for this crap.

Valentine: The evil king whose goal in all of this is power and also just seeing the ordinary people scramble

Kai's just going to hold out the boxers with his eyes closed and his head turned politely away. Don't make this weird, man.

He's trying not to! But clothes are weird and tricky. Boxers are at least pretty straightforward so that's good. Pants are trickier. Shirts make no sense. Please don't try to make him wear shoes.

With boxers on, Kai is willing to help, first giving Ryoji a pair of pants and then letting him pick what shirt he wants. It's totally going to be the sparkly one, isn't it?

It's definitely going to be the sparkly one, at least for now. But with a little effort, he's dressed. "...This feels weird," he says, as he begins to realize the restriction of clothing.

Kai makes a bit of a face at him. "What do you mean it feels weird?" What about clothing is weird?

"I dunno, it's just..." There's stuff on him and it's unusual. "...I'll try to get used to them."

That's the spirit. Kai brightens. "I got you a surprise, too."

Oh! Ryoji perks up a bit. "A surprise?"

Kai holds out the iced cake. "It's really delicious."

Ryoji will take it, looking it over- it doesn't look like anything he's ever had before so he's very curious! And of course will share with Kai, but when he does take a bite his eyes go wide. "Wow... that's really good!"

"Of course it is!" But see how great being a human is, Ryoji? You get great food and sparkly clothing. Ryoji should just stay a human all the time.

Ryoji can't stay human all the time. At least not yet. "Do humans always eat things like this?"

Ryoji is onto him. "No. It wouldn't be very healthy and you probably wouldn't feel great if it was all you ate. But one a day should be fine."

Awww. Well, once a day is good, at least. Ryoji will happily eat his little cake, smiling at his friend. "What do you like to eat?"

[tothealtar]

"Cakes, of course. Cookies. Cheese is pretty good. ... Hey, is digesting that going to be a problem if you turn back to a dragon before you're done?"

[dangerouslyinlove]

Ryoji blinks at him. "Digestion?" He's not entirely sure he knows what you mean.

"The food making its way through your body. Like how cats eat meat."

[dangerouslyinlove]

"Oh." Hm. "I'm not sure. I think dragons can have cake..." Dragons can eat whatever they want, really.

[tothealtar]

"It won't make you sick?" Kai doesn't want Ryoji to get sick.

[dangerouslyinlove]

"I don't think so?" He should be ok. "I guess we'll find out."

[tothealtar]

"If you have to throw up, please do it outside the cave? And I'm sorry."

[dangerouslyinlove]

Ryoji chuckles. "I think I'll be ok." He turns back into a dragon (after taking off clothes so he doesn't tear them), curling up in his corner of the cave. Nope, still feels fine!

Kai's going to warily watch him for a while, because what if he needs to try to find a village doctor or something? Or just get Ryoji actual dragon food...

Nope, he's fine. He's happy, really. Even if he still has to practice a lot to try and be human, today was fun!

Kai will stay there for a while, and then he'll eventually start to fidget.

"So, what do you do for fun?"
