Fairytale AU Meme [Open]

Pick one of my characters and I'll toss a disney/fairytale au scenario at you! I've got some rough descriptions of their roles below. You can start, or you can just give their name in a top-level and I’ll write something up. These can be shippy or not, although given the descriptions I’ll probably tend towards that way unless you tell me you don’t want that

Alec: Damsel in distress, suicidal, who thinks this whole thing is stupid and this story can be ended if anyone at any point just solves the problem of the ‘princess’ for good

Annabel: Necromancer, who tries to find love by bringing hers back from the dead

Dominic: Knight, who’s pretty sure that he’s supposed to slay the ‘dragon’ but might end up falling in love with him/her instead

I-No: The evil witch, finds delight in other people’s suffering

Ivy: The persecuted heroine, who badly wants to believe in love but doesn’t really believe that it can trump the facts of life

Kai: Prince charming, careful and earnest, hugely romantic who thinks that life’s course can be changed by love

Ky: Either the hero, earnest but not very good at people, or the damsel in distress who’s going to apologize for having to be rescued

Rose: Ghost girl, who will accept a coat in exchange for being able to touch and feel for a while

Sol: The dragon, why are you waking him up from his nap just to rescue a princess? He doesn’t have time for this crap.

Valentine: The evil king whose goal in all of this is power and also just seeing the ordinary people scramble

"Ok!" Ryoji nods as he takes to the air again, going quickly so Kai doesn't have to hold on forever but trying to be extra careful. He doesn't want his friend to fall!

They make it back safely, and by this point Kai is quite hungry. He brushes off an apple and bites into it.

Ryoji will clear a little area for people-food for Kai. He's pretty hungry too. "I have to go out to get food for me, but I'll be back soon, ok?" He doesn't keep dead animals lying around, after all.

"Okay!" Kai is going to eat his food and wait for Ryoji to come back.

When Ryoji does return, it's with a dear. A dead one. Which he will munch on in his corner. This is totally ok right Kai?

No. No it's not okay. Kai feels a little sick to his stomach. "Ah... I'm going to go for a walk." And hope that Ryoji doesn't decide to eat him.

"Ok!" Ryoji does not see the problem with this. He doesn't even think to add a 'be careful' since... no one bothers the dragon on the mountain.

Kai is mostly going to step outside of the cave...and slowly move off to the side and try to not fall off the edge.

There are other caves around that he can duck into, should the trail become too perilous. Just because Ryoji is the biggest thing on the mountain doesn't mean there's nothing or no one else here.

Mostly Kai's just going to spend a while standing out there and staring at the mountains. This is very different from being in the palace. After a while -- when he thinks that Ryoji has to be done eating -- he'll return.

By the time Kai returns, Ryoji is back in bitty dragon form, pouring over his magic books again, but he'll perk up when Kai enters the cave again. "Hello!" he chirps, rustling his wings happily.

Kai doesn't want to look to see if there are deer remains, he doesn't want to look...

"Did you have any plans for the rest of the day?"

It's ok, Ryoji already got rid of those. He's fast.

"Not really," he replies, "I was just looking over my spells again."

[tothealtar]

"Find anything interesting?"

Can Kai help?

"I was looking at the human form thing. I think I can maybe try it!" The spell itself isn't hard, exactly- it just takes a lot of power to maintain.

"Ooh." That is interesting. "Alright. Do you-- are you going to need clothes?" Should he not watch?

[dangerouslyinlove]

Ryoji stops, thinking it over and looking back at the spell. "Um... it doesn't say anything about clothes, so maybe? Are those important?"

[tothealtar]

"Yes. They're very very important for humans." Please wear clothes, Ryoji.

[dangerouslyinlove]

"Oh." Hmph. That just seems silly. "...I don't know where to get clothes, though."

[tothealtar]

..."Just wrap yourself in a blanket, to start."

[dangerouslyinlove]

"Oh. Ok." Ryoji does at least have those. He'll go into one of the side caves and drag one out... As a tiny dragon, it's rather comical.

But then he'll perch by his book again and recite the spell! Your choice to look away or not, Kai, but in a few moments that tiny dragon will be turning into a boy about Kai's age, with bright blue eyes and slicked back black hair.

Kai's going to glance over once a couple of moments have passed, hoping that Ryoji knows which parts of himself are important to cover.

....Sort of? He's seen humans a lot, at least, so he knows the bottom half is most important to cover so he'll do that. "How do I look?"

[tothealtar]

That is by far the most important part, at least for guys. Kai lets out a little breath, and then studies him. "You look very human. Great job!"

Ryoji beams at him- that does make him happy. "What do I look like?" He can't really see, after all.
