Fairytale AU Meme [Open]

Pick one of my characters and I'll toss a disney/fairytale au scenario at you! I've got some rough descriptions of their roles below. You can start, or you can just give their name in a top-level and I’ll write something up. These can be shippy or not, although given the descriptions I’ll probably tend towards that way unless you tell me you don’t want that

Alec: Damsel in distress, suicidal, who thinks this whole thing is stupid and this story can be ended if anyone at any point just solves the problem of the ‘princess’ for good

Annabel: Necromancer, who tries to find love by bringing hers back from the dead

Dominic: Knight, who’s pretty sure that he’s supposed to slay the ‘dragon’ but might end up falling in love with him/her instead

I-No: The evil witch, finds delight in other people’s suffering

Ivy: The persecuted heroine, who badly wants to believe in love but doesn’t really believe that it can trump the facts of life

Kai: Prince charming, careful and earnest, hugely romantic who thinks that life’s course can be changed by love

Ky: Either the hero, earnest but not very good at people, or the damsel in distress who’s going to apologize for having to be rescued

Rose: Ghost girl, who will accept a coat in exchange for being able to touch and feel for a while

Sol: The dragon, why are you waking him up from his nap just to rescue a princess? He doesn’t have time for this crap.

Valentine: The evil king whose goal in all of this is power and also just seeing the ordinary people scramble

Ryoji grins, thinking that over. "Yeah! And I'm sure it won't take that long with flying..."

"Do you know how fast you're going, when you're flying?" Can they keep track of how far they've gone?

"Sort... of?" It's not precise by any means, but he has a vague idea.

"Ooh! What's the fastest you can go?"

[dangerouslyinlove]

"Um... about [a reasonably fast speed at which dragons can travel??? idk.] I guess?" Ryoji shrugs, "I know where I can get to pretty easily, at least."

"That's....wow. Are you sure?" Look, that's really fast compared to...horses.

[dangerouslyinlove]

He has wings. Most horses don't. "Yeah, I'm sure."

[tothealtar]

"Neat. I want to see. Let's go now!" He's not being impulsive about this or anything.

"Are you sure?" You went flying this morning already. Not that Ryoji minds much.

[tothealtar]

"Oh! Are you tired? I'm sorry."

[dangerouslyinlove]

"No, I'm ok still. I just thought you would be." You've had a couple big days, after all.

He's running on adrenaline! "Not too tired to have fun." Wasn't that part of why he'd run away?

Ryoji laughs a little. "Ok!" He'll get up and let Kai get on, then.

So many fun days. Sure, Ryoji had flown before, but Kai is prepared to hold on tight and let him go super fast now.

Ryoji will do so, flying up to the top of the mountain first before using the height to dive, going quite fast indeed.

Kai shrieks, a sound of mostly delight and maybe a little fear. Still, if Ryoji doubted what he wants, the question will be solved. "Again!"

Ryoji grins a dragon grin, swooping up and diving again, body tucked in for the best aerodynamics.

This is the best. Ryoji is the best dragon friend a boy could want.

Hooray! Ryoji will do this for a while, until he gets tired and they head back to the cave. "Did you have fun?"

"So much!" This is what it's like to go on an adventure, isn't it? It's perfect.

Ryoji nudges Kai's face with his own, very happy. "I'm really glad."

[tothealtar]

"Did you have fun too?" He didn't want to be taking advantage of Ryoji's kindness.

[dangerouslyinlove]

"Yeah. It's fun, to fly with other people." He usually just goes around by himself.

[tothealtar]

"You can fly with me any time you want!"

[dangerouslyinlove]

Oh, good. Ryoji will nuzzle happily again, settling down next to Kai. Friendship is great!
