Sol didn't argue the point of the payment, partly because that wasn't how he worked, partly because that wasn't how this thing with Legault worked, and partly because the other man had made it abundantly clear that there were much better things they could be doing with their time, and Sol happened to agree with that assessment.

Sol stood, offering the other man only a brief nod before he started walking towards the door, not a little grateful for the cloth that kept the slight tenting of his pants hidden.
