For Wesley
Verity knows a thing or two about people vanishing. Usually that means they're dead, occasionally — like in the case of her grandfather — it means trapped in another dimension, and in the case of one Dominic Price, formerly De Luca, she's pretty sure it means he's been captured by the Covenant. She owes her husband a lot, and if he owed her just as much there's still no way she's going to leave him in the hands of those bastards.
When she hears that there's a human poking around and asking questions about the Covenant, it sets her spidey senses tingling, because of course it does. She also decides that she needs to meet him.
The meeting is set up in a coffee shop and Verity decides to arrive on time to give him a chance to beat her there. If he knows anything about Dominic it's worth the risk, and besides, she can call for backup.
She's maybe not what people would expect from a monster hunter, or even a cryptozoologist. Five foot two and only a little over a hundred pounds, her hair is a blonde pixie cut. She's got a stunning variety of weaponry concealed under a skirt that brushes her knees and a t-shirt that says "dancing is my superpower".
She goes up to the one she presumes she's looking for, sticking her hand out. "I'm hoping you're who I'm here to meet. I'm Verity Price." Wesley may have heard little about Verity specifically, but he'd have heard various stories about the Prices: that they're the only ones to leave the Covenant and live, that they're the reason the Covenant stays out of North America, that no one formerly associated with the Covenant can be trusted, that they do decent work, for humans, that they need to get better at minding their own business, and that they must be okay, if they've still got the mice.
