It was a low blow, Wesley knows. He just felt for a moment that he could just leave this hellhole and be content with having Dominic pulled out with him. But that's not true. Even if they'd get out, he'd be going back in five minutes after the drugs wear off.
He sighs and pulls up from the ground. "I know," he says as he pulls Dominic up as well and yanks him close, arm wrapping around his waist possessively. "Let's go back."
Dominic does lean into that touch, feeling his body against Wesley and there's something soothing about that, reassuring on a level past what the drugs can influence.
He lets himself breathe in Wesley's scent. "Together," he agrees, and they start to walk.
The sweetest things he says. Wesley snorts fondly and buries his nose for a moment in Dominic's hair, inhaling him.
"Yeah," he says simply and grabs Dominic's hand as they start the walk back.
On the way Dominic's hand is an anchor to his shot nerves. Every little sound and rustle makes his heart beat faster, makes his blood pump. His instincts say to hunt and find out what's hiding in the bushes there. But Dominic keeps him grounded to the goal of getting back to the camp and ending this charade.
Dominic just rests against Wesley for that moment, understanding him and how important he is to Dominic. This place can't take that away from them.
And Dominic's hand grips Wesley tight, refusing to allow that anything might come between them. This place has taken so much already, it cannot have the only thing that really matters.

Everything else, they will handle.
